1st DPT/DT vaccine

Took Adore for her 1st DPT vaccine 7th Oct, heard that this jab will cause fever. Daddy & mummy have decided not to give Adore 4in1, 5in1 or 6in1 (anyway polyclinic doesn't hv this). So we gave the normal 3in1 instead, Polio will be given orally & shld Adore spit it out they won't be giving a 2nd dose. Wow...was my reaction when the nurse Tan told me. So nurse Tan took her height and weight all within range.

I was told to sit at the corner gosh...so many needles beside me. I've to turn Adore like breastfeeding her position in order for the nurse to inject Adore's right hand. Once the needle is down Adore cried but lucky not as loud as the boy next door. After about 5mins she's ok already. I was given tablets to feed Adore once we're home. When to see the doc & everything is said to be fine thou she hasn't been eating well these couple of days. Dr suggested us to come back a week later to see how Adore is growing.

When to pay money and make the appt for reveal which will be on the 14th Oct. So when back to Adore's grandma place & fed her medicine. We monitor Adore every hr making sure her fever doesn't go up to very high. Nurse Tan said some bb can go up all the way to 40degree which I find it's far too high already.

Everything seems right until at night, Adore's temperature went all the way to about 38 and remaining there thou we sponged her & fed her with medicine. Tf suggested to bring her home cos our bed is waterbed & able to 'cool' our body temperature down. Tf tried that before when he's down with fever before my delivery. So we went home packing everything with us...My mum & myself sponged Adore thru-out the night, napping only awhile. Nxt day was a Sat so Tf still got to work therefore didn't disturb his sleep.

By mrg Adore's temperature is under much control. Only by afternoon then we thought of getting her the fever pad to put on her forehead. Anyway her fever lasted 1 1/2 day...wow...an experience again.
